Dear Barrel Aged Christians,

I just returned from a restful trip with my family near the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia (unplugged from social media & email!) and so things have been a little quiet with my writing and filming. I’ll discuss our trip more in posts to come, but today, I want to ‘re-share’ an article I wrote last year about the meaning of Christ’s descent to Sheol after His crucifixion. Although the article can be read at anytime, it has special significance this time of the year when we contemplate the meaning of Christ’s fasting in the wilderness for 40 days as well as His death and resurrection.
