🦁 New Course: Patristic Wardrobe
Finding the Fathers Through the Thought of C.S. Lewis (& other Big Announcements)
Announcement 1: New Course on C.S. Lewis & the Fathers!
I wanted to announce that I will be teaching a course this summer with St. Athanasius (Orthodox) College called “Patristic Wardrobe: Finding the Fathers through the Thought of C.S. Lewis”
This course is open to all ($50 for 5 sessions, 2 Hrs each) “explores how the writings of C.S. Lewis reflect the timeless theology of the early Church. Through five engaging modules, students will examine key Orthodox themes—such as worship, sacraments, priesthood, theosis, atonement, and eschatology—as they appear in Lewis’s work. Each session draws parallels between Lewis’s insights and the teachings of the Church Fathers, guiding students “further up and further in” to discover how Lewis serves as a gateway to patristic thought and Orthodox Christian spirituality.”
Module I – The Song of Creation: Worship, Sacraments, & Icons in C.S. Lewis
Module II – A Table of Fire: The Eucharist & Priesthood in C.S. Lewis

Module IV – The Problem of Hell: The Road to Perdition & Final Things in C.S. Lewis

Announcement 2: New Bible Study on Ephesians w/ Seraphim Hamilton
Orthodox Bible teacher, Seraphim Hamilton, will be leading us through St. Paul’s letter to the Ephesians. These episodes will be pre-recorded, but can be accessed through a paid subscription for only $5 a month (Substack, Patreon, Youtube Members) We are filming the first episode today, and it will be released next week. The first will be free, but the rest will be for only paid subscribers in order to make this project possible.
Announcement 3: More Interviews w/ Orthodox Priests, Authors, Scholars, & Artists
(Clip from my interview with Orthodox Hollywood filmmaker, Dr. Nathan Jacobs)
I am excited to be hosting alot more interviews w/ priests, authors, scholars, and artists in the world of Orthodoxy in weeks and months to come. Many of these interviews will be released only to paid subscriber for the first 2 weeks and then released to the general public. Some will immediately be free, while others will always be exclusive (more academic related interviews). *Paid subscriptions are the bread and butter of most podcasts/channels that are able to continue and grow. We receive very little funds from ‘ad’ revenue. It is those who love and pray for the podcast/show that make it possible to keep going.
Other: Saints, Animals, and our Father Adam
I recently made a short video about an icon in my parish of St. Paisios who is visited by a spiritual skeptic and a wise lizard. It also discusses other saint stories (St. Seraphim of Sarov & the Bear, St. Kevin & the Otter). Enjoy!
You should also check out my friend
’s newest article ‘Kings of Paradise’ on this very topic!Lastly, you may enjoy a clip from my most recent interview with MWD when we briefly discuss Orthodoxy in Asia and how its culture is quite receptive and ripe for growth. After this video, I received some responses from parishes in various locations such as Japan stating that everything is ready to explode, but they need priests, lay missionaries, and funding to really make this possible. Perhaps you are reading this, and it is giving you some pause. If so, then pray, pray, pray and go read Isaiah Chapter 6! Perhaps some will eventually respond and say, “Here I am, Lord, send me!”
