Jonah's Epic Voyage to Holy Orthodoxy
From Sea Captain to Orthodox Homesteader & Publisher I Interview w/ Jonah Martin
I had a wonderful time interviewing Jonah Martin with St. Nicholas Press and Audible Orthodox (he professionally records audio books & much more). His love for Christ, the Orthodox faith, and other people really comes through in all of my interactions with him. He also had an epic voyage to the place he has now arrived (stay tuned for part 2 which is the rest of the interview).
If you do not have time to watch the full interview, bookmark it, and watch this clip:
Secondly,
’s new book is now out on icons in the early church. Michael is an extremely thoughtful person who has put a lot of research into this volume over the years. You should definitely get your copy and support this important contribution to the Great Commission which is sharing Christ and ancient, apostolic Christianity (make disciples of all nations) with the world!(I also recently discussed icons and the work of Michael Garten with my friend from Transfigured Life, Luther Menard).
Thirdly, if you haven’t watched my interview with Dr. Timothy Patitsas on his amazing, 800 page ‘tome’ called ‘The Ethics of Beauty,’ it is another one to bookmark. His book really emphasizes the ‘Beauty First’ approach which anchors all of Orthodox theology. In the work, he discusses the nature of man and salvation, war and trauma, hospitality and therapy, icons and liturgy, the city and civilization, the land and economics, and really all of reality! I will be discussing this work quite often in future episodes with Jonah Martin and other guests as I believe it can really help people understand the implications of following Christ in connection to the rest of our lives, especially our families and vocations.

Lastly, if you haven’t had the time to listen to my reading of The Oldest Christmas Sermon/Homily we have on record, you should find time this week as we near the Nativity of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Thanks for the continued prayers and support!
Be entirely His,
Kyle
