From Mennonite to Orthodox
Interview with David Bahler of 'The Sacred Life' (& Iconographer, Brian Whirledge!)
I had a great conversation with David Bahler of The Sacred Life about his journey from being a Mennonite to Holy Orthodoxy. We talked alot about Mennonite church history, martyrs, the Protestant reformation, modern evangelicalism, and why he was drawn to Orthodoxy instead of Roman Catholicism.
The interview below is only for paid subscribers ($5 a month on Substack, Patreon, Youtube Members) for the next few weeks which helps us continue having great interviews (Fiction Writer and Orthodox Deacon Nicholas Kotar is next up!) and in depth courses (such as our Ephesians Bible Study with Seraphim Hamilton).
Brian Whirledge also joined us from his studio (Goshen, Indiana) who is an officially sanctioned iconographer for the Antiochian Orthodox Christian Archdiocese of North America!
Find out more here: https://www.brianwhirledge.com/ (Btw, Brian is an Indiana Wesleyan graduate right down the road from Taylor University where I was a graduate). Also, here are a few videos from David’s channel which we discuss in our interview.
